ARC's is proud to offer an ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament of
the knee) for female athletes. Female athletes will be trained
in a comprehensive exercise program to increase flexibility, strength
and balance. Athletes will be educated to avoid the positions
that risk injury.
Recent
research suggests:
• Female athletes are 5-9 times more likely to suffer an
ACL tear then their male counterparts.
• The majority of these injuries (80%) are non-contact injuries.
• It is estimated that 30,000 high school and college age
female athletes will rupture
their ACL every year.
• Research also shows that completion of an ACL program
prevention can reduce non-contact ACL tears
by up to 88%.
